£15.00 paperback Guardian Print (2012)
In 2002 Liam Ryan was diagnosed with cancer. Not just any cancer: a massive, stage 4 tumour was discovered in the middle of his head. One consultant told him that it would be more accurately classified as stage 44. He was given very little chance of survival. He had got on a bus to terminal cancer with all of the doors locked. Somehow he managed to get off at the last stop.
Ten years later, not only has he survived and recovered, he is now about to run his first marathon, post-cancer, and has written down his remarkable story for the first time.
This book will take you through his life to the point of cancer and beyond. One man and his battle with this incredible disease and how he channelled all of his focus into the slim chance he had been given. This is an inspirational story for everybody who comes across it. It is a story of great hope and encouragement. Liam Ryan is the living proof that no matter how much the odds are stacked against you, they can always be overturned.
