    Liverpool World Centre - Liverpool World Centre (LWC) is a locally run and registered charity, a member of the Development Education Association (DEA). Established in September 2000, LWC aims to raise awareness of the interdependence of communities locally and globally through, for example, trade, food, culture, labour, impacts on the climate and the environment. It played a major role in the successful campaign to achieve Fair Trade City status for Liverpool. In addition to projects working with schools councils and the Liverpool Schools Parliament, LWC is setting up a Global Education Resource Centre, and has recently appointed a temporary administrator to assist in this endeavour and to support its other project workers generally.
