paperback    ISBN 13: 9781843595205 | ISBN 10: 1843595206

Speke Hall is a precious survival from the Tudor age - one of the most important timber-framed buildings in the north of England.

Neglected during most of the eighteenth century, Speke was restored in the 1850s by Richard Watt, who filled its pannelled rooms with carved oak furniture that further enhances the house's romantic character.
